Hello Tony.
Did the long-tailed ducks lay any eggs?
Debbie
Hi Debbie.
Unfortunately the Lon-tailed Ducks didn't lay. Though I did get some nice Buflehead, Goldeneye and Hooded Merganser eggs that did hatch and are now growing well. Overall the spring was a dissapointing one for waterfowl, you may have noticed how few Mallard broods there were and no Grebes. If you are around tomol;morow and would like to see the young birds stand outside my gate at 1.00pm and I will show you around.
