Whinchat: 11.00am on fence that seperates the wetland from the goose grazing paddock, area 25. Still present at 3.30pm.
Common Redstart: 1 in area 29, 50 yards behinddrinking pool. Visible from outside the fenced area.
Spotted Flycatcher: 2 birds in area 29.
Reed Warbler: 1 in brambles area 24 and another in brambles area 29.
Common Whitethroat: 1 in area 24 and 2 in area 29.
Blackcap: 5 in area 29.
WillowWarbler: 8, in areas 25 and 29.

The drinking pool in area 29 is sited about half way from the path to the line on tall Lime trees. There is an area where the brambles have been cut level with the top of the fence. An obvious perch can be seen that allows birds to land before going down to drink (as with the Wood Warbler). The birds are not visible while bathing, it is best to stand back and see what comes along. With bins you can see up the slope to some copiced hazels, this is the area that does attract Redstarts.
The Spot Flycatchers are normally on the dead trees. Anytime of day is okay preferably when there is least disturbance.
