Tony,
There is a grey-plumaged gull around the Children's Boating Lake. I can't identify it. Seen it a few times now.
Excellent, very-close views of two kestrels today. I think one was a female, and the other a juvenile male. Area 30.
Had a look for the juvenile green woodpecker but it was not visible at lunchtime.

Hi Tony
Friday 7-8.30pm: 2 female goosanders feeding on lake in front of boathouse cafe. Later on heron island near gc grebe's nest with very full crops and preening. Checked collection goosanders and they were both on back beach of longbridge island. 2 great crested grebe chicks riding on the back of the female near water plant cages. In the same area saw a single swallow going through heading west, later a further 4 feeding with house martins.
8.30-9pm 2 tawny owls seen from the rugby pitch leaving leaf yard wood. Later viewed hunting from tree in heather garden. Also at least 2 foxes visiting leaf yard pond.
