A good day for visible migration.
Redwing: 1 flew W at 7.30am, the first bird of the autumn.
Rock Pipit: A fairly scarce species seen 2or 3 times a year at best. 1 flew SW at 12.35pm.
Siskin: 3 birds(2&1 ) flew W.
Meadow Pipit: 35 flew W in small groups.
Goldfinch: A flock of 11 flew W.
Chaffinch: A small number flew W, these appeared not to be park birds.
House Martin: 280 birds flew SW throughout the day. The numbers moving slowed after 9.30am.
Swallow: 170 birds flew SW in what was a light passage that kept going throughout the day.
Spotted Flycatcher: 1 in area 29.
Chiffchaff: 6 birds dotted around the park.
Peregrine Falcon: 1 soared high over the southern section of the park at 12.50pm.
