Tony,
Of course your blog is worth doing! I tell lots of people about it, and look at it every day to see what is around. Please keep it going!

The bird has been seen at different times of the day. So I wouldn't like to say when is best to see it except that at quieter times, ie; when to many people are on their way to work or jogging over the bridge it is a little edgy. It normally appears from around the area of the small tree amongst the reeds by a yellow piece of hose.
Thats nice to hear Debbie, the more people I can get to bird in the park then more species and larger numbers of birds can be found, hopefully something reall unusual. As long as they let me know by leaving sightings of interest in a comments box.

May I add my name to those who appreciate this site. Incidentally, I get the following when I try to access the map on your blog:

I don't know if there's some way you can add this as a link on the side of your blog rather than having to add it at the end of each posting - that would seem the simplest thing to do.

I know very little about the workings of computers. I will ask my web controller(my son) if he can do something.
