Cheers Debbie, I saw it from 1.50 onwards.
We only have a handful of Lapwing bird days nowadays. We used to get most records in June or July until around the early eighties or when we had those long cold snaps. These could involve large numbers, most birds heading westwards. Now birds can be seen flying in any direction, very rarely numbering flocks larger than 10 bird. For a bird to land is very rare, due to the amount of public disturbance. Early morning is the best time to look in peak periods for this species.
