17th February

Peregrine Falcon: A male soared above area 29 for ten minutes from 11.30am.
Sparrowhawk: A pair were seen in and over area 29, the female was hunting birds around the feeding station.
Tawny Owl: The male was perched in an ivy covered tree in area 29.
Great crested Grebe: 3 pairs were being very territorial.

Is the water rail still around? I haven't seen it for a while.

Debbie, we think that short cold snap moved it on. We have not watched the area that closely, but it appears to have gone.
