I think I caught your jackdaw!! - I had one on an aerial down my street in Tufnell Park, first time i've seen one down round there.

Bright sunny days in late February and March as well as October and November are the best months of the year to see Jackdaws and the even rarer Rook. So keep an eye open for birds that normally come from the south-west.

A first for me last night(8th)while walking through the park at c1800-1820. At least four distinct flocks of bats, all extremely active in Areas 26 (N side), 27, 1, and 4. Largest group was of 9-11 bats, Area 26.

My bat ID makes my vagrant winter gull ID look superb...

If they looked smallish and were in flocks then they were almost certainly either of the two pipistrelles. The next most numerous species is the noctule and they are quite large and normally patrol back and forth above the tree tops or over the open lake.
