Yellow legged Gull 1st summer
Hobby: 1 flew high to the south at 8.30am.
Willow Warbler: 1 singing in area 1.
Reed Warbler: Still only one present in area 2.
Swift: Birds were present throughout the day, though not in large numbers.
House Martin: Birds were flying up to the building they nest on in Park Road.
Grey Wagtail: 1 perched briefly on one of the rowing boats.
Common Tern: The pair are still present with male going off to fish on the canal and bringing it back for the female. We made a few alterations to the tern raft in the hope they will use it. Wire was erected to try a deter the Cormorants, who are becoming more approachable every year.
Yellow-legged Gull: A 1st summer was on the lake from 11.00am.
