From the E fringes of the Golf School, round the N edge of the park to area 29, 4 Blackcap seen - 3 male, 1 Female, all singing and staking out different territories. Most towards area 29.
Feeding Bag at Area 29, 1-2 Blackcap singing, 1 seen (male).
2 Chifchaff heard (simultaneous singing) at Golf School area, 1 heard aroud feeding bag Area 29, 1 heard around works yard just to the south.
2 pair Gt Spotted Woodpecker seen in and around the general area described.
Surprise, surprise, yup, 2 Reed Wartblers heard singing area two: 1 in Water Rail reeds, 1 in bed between bridges. Song of latter birtd very different from first: more mimickry, more tweets. Might almost have been Sedge Warbler, but it wasn't as seen singing!
Blackcap also heard area 24, along with resident Whitethroat (seen briefly).
