22nd July

Garden Warbler: 2 birds feeding in area 29.
Blackcap: 6 birds in area 29.
Chiffchaff: 5 birds in area 29.
Nuthatch: 1 bird on the feeders in area 29.
Peregrine: 1 bird flapped leisurely northwards over the open spaces, before stooping and catching what was thought to be a starling close to the Snowden Aviary in the zoo at 6.45am.

1500-1630 Sunday.
1 Chiffchaff Area 29.
1-2 Garden Warbler skulking, making occasional, fleeting appearences, but singing well, Area 29.
4 Backcap - 2 male, 2 Female - Area 29.
2 Reed Warbler by bridges, one in each bed.
2 Little Owl, I adult and 1 juvenile (will send details by private means).

Thanks for that, I had a visitor from Finland in the park this morning, unfortunately the owls did not show. There were how ever a lot of Jays in the area. At one stage we think they chased off at least one of the owls.
