A calm dawn did not bode well for the arrival of new migrant.
This juvenile Green Woodpecker likes to feed on the grass by the Outer Circle in area 36. He or she then leaves before it gets to busy.

The bird has taken to sitting on the nest boxes alongside the island viewed from the end of area 26.


Kingfisher: It looks like we only have one very vocal bird present, in area 26.
Garden Warbler: 2 birds in area 24.
Willow Warbler: 3 birds in area 24.
Swift: 2 birds flew over at 1.00pm.
House Martin: At least 50 birds were over the western side of the park.
Green Woodpecker: 2 juveniles at either ends of the park, is probably a good indicator that at least two pairs bred.
