With the wind still not coming from a direction with an 'E' in we are struggling a little. We were surprised at the news of a Short-earded Owl flying SE over the Wetland Centre at 11.10am.

Short-eared Owl: While taking a chance to see if there was an visible migration over London from the top of Primrose Hill one was obsevered at 11.40am. The bird was to the east of the park drifting slowly away, though it didn't seem to know which way to go, it eventually disappeared from view at 11.50am.
House Martin: 140 birds flew mainly south in small flocks.
Swallow: 12o passed through.
Meadow Pipit: 45 passed overhead.
Grey Wagtail: 2 birds seen, 1 again in area 26.
Blackcap: 1 female in area 29.
Chiffchaff: 6 birds in areas 12, 25 and 29.
Chaffinch: 1's and 2's were seen heading west.
Teal: 1 flew out of area 26 at 2.30pm.

Wheatear: 1 was seen by The Hub at 5.30pm yesterday, only the third bird of the autumn.
