30th August




Common Redstart. A male was seen twice briefly in area 24, between 8.00am and 8.20am. It was frequenting the lone Elder tree in the middle of the pen.
Spotted Flycatcher. At least five birds were present with four being seen on island at the end of the lake in area 26.
Lesser Whitethroat. Singles were seen in areas 24 and 29.
Common Whitethroat. One was in area 24.
Garden Warbler. One was with a mixed flock of warblers and tits in area 26.
Reed Warbler. Three were in area 26.
Blackcap. Several were in area 24 and 26.
Willow Warbler. At least ten were present , with most being seen in area 26. There was one individual with hardly any yellow tones to its plumage apart from the wings and tail.
Chiffchaff. Twelve birds were present in areas 1, 26 and 29.
Swift. Two birds flew south.
Yellow Wagtail. One flew south around 8.10am.
Hobby. One flew south at 2.30pm.
Collared Dove. Two flew over the park at around 3.30pm.
