The male showed well on the wetland scrape, on and off throughout the day.




A late Moorhen brood has hatched in the wetland, here is one youngster.


There were even fewer birds on the move today. The east coast seems to be hogging them all.

Firecrest.
There was one in area 26 with a mixed flock of tits and chiffchaffs at 3.00pm.
Chiffchaff. Twelve birds in area 26.
Blackcap. Two in area 26.
Kingfisher. The male was present in areas 25 and 26 all day, showing well on perches in the wetland.
Yellow Wagtail. One flew over.
Meadow Pipit. Six birds flew over.
