Pied Flycatcher in area 25.



Greenland Wheatear

The bird flew north to a crane just outside the parks boundary.


Peregrine Falcon: One was perched nearby at 6.45am.
Hobby: One flew south-east at 12.55pm.
Pied Flycatcher: A bird was present in area 25. It could be seen by looking over the gates by the waterfowl display board and looking along the path towards the Silver Birch trees.
Spotted Flycatcher: One was in trees that run along the edge of the Holme, area 7 at 7.55am.
Greenland Wheatear: One was present on the open spaces, area 28 from 8.30am until 12.45pm.
Chiffcaff: Twelve birds were seen around the park, but mainly in area 25 and 26.
Swallow: Thirty plus flew over at lunch time.
House Martin: As many as forty were sometimes seen above the lake.
Yellow Wagtail: One flew south.
Meadow Pipit: Passage was not really noticed until after mid-day when eighteen flew over.
Siskin: One flew west at 11.00am.
