Common Redstart, this species can be hard to pin down in the park, due to the presents of to many people. This location is ideal as it is offers a quiet open area, with plenty of foraging opportunities.





Common Redstart. 1st winter male around the buildings of the old tennis school, area 30. It tends to favour the left hand building. View from the railings just along from the courts.
Swift. One was with martins at 6.45am.
Swallow. One flew through.
Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff. A few birds of each species are still present.
Blackcap. There were some cracking males in area 24 this morning.
Kingfisher. One was seen twice, once flyind south across the lake towards the Heronry and the second time in area 26.
