26th April

Though this bird was a lot lower than the one seen today it shows the ID features that are most obvious on high flying birds.

The last few days have been really dissapointing, with hardly any new migrants arriving. Today was still not much better.

One flew very high south-eastwards at 10.20am.
Common Tern: One flew north-east at 11.00am.
Swallow: One flew west at 12.05pm.
Chiffchaff: Three birds were present, with one pair nest-building.
Blackcap; Nine singing males were present.
