6th June

Due to a band of wet weather moving through during the morning there was not a much to see. When the rain had stopped I checked out the Kestrels.

The female brings in a Starling, causing havoc in the nest box. Unfortunately one of the youngsters had managed to leave the nest, probably not intentionally.

The female leaves within seconds.

The bird that had left the nest, hops from branch to branch trying to figure out a way of getting back in the box. He evenually gets brave enough to drop back in from the roof of the box.

He then manages to get a piece of Starling stuck in his throat. It took him about ten minutes to solve the problem.
