Not much to report, just to say that the young Kestrels from the box in area 25 have been feeding on butterflies and other insects in the long grass in area 27.
Also the drake Garganey is now in his eclipse plumage and is again fully flighted. It has spent much of the time away from the public, prefering the quiet end of the lake in area 1.




These two picture taken this morning show how the sun shining on his plumage can make the bird look similar in colour tone to a Blue-winged Teal.
