23rd July

Hopefully things will start moving soon. Dave was lucky enough to see two Whimbrel fly overe Lords last Sunday.

Today:

Grey Wagtail: A single bird is seen most days.
Chiffchaff: A family first seen yesterday were again in area 1 this afternoon.
Reed Warbler: Young are being fed in the reeds in area 2. A male has started singing in the reed bed at the far end of the lake in area 26.

Kestrel: This male was catching insects in the long grass in area 29, he is looking a bit shabby as he starts his moult.

Wasp Spider: At least fourteen were seen in area 26, (female above).

Wasp Spider male (above).

This female looks to be snacking on this male.
