Birds at Last
Lapwing: Two juveniles were present by the bandstand from at least 7.50am until 3.00pm.
Curlew: A flock of six birds were reported flying SE at 16.10pm and were thought to be this species going on the length of the bill.
Common Tern: One was on a post on the lake at 9.10am.
Blackcap: Six birds were in area 25 feeding on berries.
Willow Warbler: One was in trees in area 7 this morning.
Goldfinch: Nine birds were in areas 24 and 34.
The Lapwings were not worried when a big picnic party set up in the area.
Fresh Painted Lady in area 26.
