Hi Tony,
My female Lesser Spotted Woodpecker turned up today, after a gap of two weeks. Fed five times.
Also this morning woken at 4.30 by Tawny Owl hooting in the woods. Heard an extraordinary noise I've never heard before. On this website: http://www.godsownclay.com/TawnyOwls/Calls/tawnyowlcalls1.html
it is described as a warble. The clip called 'Warble (male & female)' is what I heard. Ever heard this in the Park?
Hi Debbie.

It sounds as if your in a very good part of London. I have heard part of the warble but I can't remember it lasting so long. Keep your ears open for the Lesser Spotted drumming, it must be nearby.
