3rd December

A very hard frost overnight caused most of the lake to freeze over.

Common Snipe: Three birds were visible at 7.40am, but as most of the rail ditch was now frozen over they had moved on by 8.30am.

Woodcock: one flew west over area 2 at around tree top height at 11.15am.

Fieldfare: One was in the company of a Redwing at 8.00am.

2 Snipe feeding openly in wetland area. Several Goldcrest in large Long-tailed Tit flock by northern feeding station.
Thanks for that.
I will have a look tomorrow.
