19th March

Woodcock: one was flushed from inside the Leaf Yard Wood, area 40 this morning. One was also seen flying out of area 17 yesterday.

Jackdaw: one was with the crows in area 6 at 8.30am and four flew north a little later.

Grey Heron: There was plenty of activity this morning, with young being heard calling from three nests.

This nest opposite the Bandstand will be worth watching as it offers fantastic views of life in the nest. In just hope that the birds can put up with the disturbance from rowing boats.

Excellent photos Tony.
Planning to visit the park next weekend so I'll come say hello if you are a round
I am not working that weekend, so I could be out on the Saturday. However I should be around the earlier part of Sunday morning.
