Once the overnight rain had almost passed over London and only light showers to contend with there was a small passage of birds heading mostly to the west.

Crossbill: 2 birds flew south at 7.35am.

Fieldfare: 26 birds mixed in with Redwings flew west prior to 9.00am.

Redwing: 320 birds in small flocks headed west, just skimming the tops of the trees on occasions.

Wood Pigeon: 760 migrants flew high SW.

Chaffinch: 165 in small flocks headed NW.

Lesser Redpoll: 4 birds headed SW.

Siskin: 8 birds were seen, some landing in area 32 briefly.

Water Rail: the bird showed well  between 8.30am and 9.00am in the rail ditch in area 2.
