Bushy Park

Common Shelduck: four birds flew towards the reservoirs SW of the park.

Common Buzzard: I haven’t seen or heard the buzzard for several weeks, so it was good to see him?

Little Owl: I had to rescue an owlet from the ground yesterday, such a small bundle of fluff.

Kingfisher: one flew along the river, through the woodland garden.

Sedge Warbler: one was singing from bushes beside the Longford River north of the Dukes Head Passage.

Reed Warbler: four males were singing and 2 females were seen.

The owlet was hiding beside a stump, so a bit of elevation was needed.

Comments

Lovely swallow shots, these birds really look like they been made by McDonell-Douglas; evolutions a wonderful thing.
Only have 7 swifts above my house the lowest I've ever recorded.
After seeing lots of Swifts a couple of weeks back numbers have dropped recently. This is probably as the area around Bushy has a lot of water and is therefore an area that the birds gather.
