Willow Warbler: 2 birds singing

Reed Bunting: pair still present in area 32.

Bushy Park

Whinchat: a pair were south of Upper Lodge Road with wheatears.

Northern Wheatear: seven birds of the Greenland race south of Upper Lodge Road. There was also 1 in the Paddocks this morning.

Kingfisher: a pair were on the Longford River.

Tony, I'm very interested to get in on those Whinchats at Bushy. Any particular locations/landmarks that the birds favoured today?

Cheers

A male Whinchat and a male Wheatear in the same frame (!), studiously ignoring each other. Doesn't get much better than that!

Hi Bill

If you know where the overflow car park is, which is west of the car park by the restaurant, the birds favour the area close to the fallen trees.

The Wheatear didn't really appreciate the Whinchat sharing his ant hill.

Cheers Tony, know exactly where you mean. Will try and get down there Friday afternoon.

Thanks
