A scream of 25 Swifts was feeding high over the Cricket Pen, area 31 at 06:00.

Common Whitethroat 1 (singing in area 40 field at 06:15).

Common Tern 1 (feeding off Long Bridge at 07:05).

Chiffchaff 4+ (one chasing a family of Blackcaps continuously around the shrubbery in area 42; pairs singing and calling in areas 1 and 19).

(No reed warblers singing - the last time I heard one was on 3 Jul, in the area 13 reed bed.)

Purple loosestrife blooming in area 13 reed bed.

It's been so wet the past three months, slugs and a few snails are now regularly crossing the paved paths.
