10th April

Regent’s Park

Water Rail: the bird is still present in the rail ditch despite the lake being crowded with rowing boats at the weekend. This is normally the time that the bird(s) choose to depart.

Kestrel: three birds (2 females) were in the Longbridge Sanctuary area at 4.00pm.

Willow Warbler: one was in the Secret Garden, area 25 this morning.

Chiffchaff: one was in Queen Mary’s Gardens.

Bushy Park

Garganey: the drake was still present first thing this morning, though after a quick look in the afternoon wasn’t seen.

Snipe: still present.

Meadow Pipit: singles were heard flying north over the Paddocks.

Pied Wagtail: the pair has returned to the stable yard.

Other birds were pretty much the same as in the previous  few days.
