Bushy Park
I have not had much time again this week to bird the park. Birds that may be of interest are;
Common Shelduck: still three pairs on the eastern side of the park.
Common Buzzard: still at least one present on the western side of the park.
Hobby: a male was over the Brew House Fields this morning. He upset the local male Kestrel, who made a half hearted attempt at chasing him off.
Reed Bunting: there seems to be at least 6 males singing east of Chestnut Avenue.
Rose-ringed Parakeet: there seem to be family parties making a din all over the park. Luckily enough something is eating some of them, possibly the local Sparrowhawk and certainly Peregrine as this shot shows.
Not the best photos, the light and the wind made it difficult.
These Great spotted Woodpeckers were in the Warren Plantation.

2 Kestrel - one recently-fledged juv ♂ with ad ♂ near nest box in Wetland Pen area 32, possible Spotted Flycatcher seen briefly by Mike (Acting Asst Park Mgr) & myself at The Holme fenceline near Longbridge mid-a.m., lots of newly-fledged 'garden birds' - saw the ♂ of the Winfield House pair of Sparrowhawks catch a Blue/Great Tit.
