Regent’s Park

Red Kite: one flew north over Primrose Hill at 12.35pm and was a lifer for Birdman-euston.

Common Teal: one flew over Long Bridge.

Kingfisher: yesterdays 2 birds were still present, though mobile. The best way to see them is to listen out for their call.

Whinchat: Similar to the above species yesterdays birds were still present this morning but were very mobile. Whinchats and dogs do not mix.

Spotted Flycatcher: two birds were in the goose pen area 32 this afternoon.

Pied Flycatcher: one was present in the Cricket Pen, area 31. However it was hard to see spending much of the time high in the pines.

Bushy Park

Most of yesterdays cast was still present. The slightly less common are mentioned below.

Cetti’s Warbler: one was still present just beyond the western boundary of the park.

Common Redstart: the male was on the eastern side of Hawthorn Cottage.

Spotted Flycatcher: this bird was also by Hawthorn Cottage, quite often associating with the Redstart.
