26th September

I have not really had much opportunity to bird the parks lately. I did however pop up to the Brewhouse Meadow and Pools at lunchtime.

Buzzard: still present.

Skylark: 2 flew west.

Meadow Pipit: 6 flew north.

Pied Wagtail: 12 were on Teddington Towns cricket pitch.

Cetti’s Warbler: I stumbled upon the bird feeding in a small nettle patch.

Chiffchaff: 6 birds along the Longford River.

Something that does bug me at this time of year is getting a face fill of cobweb that has been strung across a pathway by this species.

There is a lot of this going on on the ponds and rivers at the moment.
