Regent’s Park
A pretty quiet day with little on the move. I spent a couple of hours in area 9 which is great first thing with the sun (which is behind you) lighting up the lake. Even the waterfowl on the lake were not that showy this morning, the Shoveler were present but seemed slightly fewer than last weekend, though they could have been taking advantage of the free food that is put down for the ornamental waterfowl.
Best birds were;
Brambling: one flew NW at 8.10am.
Siskin: three flew west.
This week the pair of Mute Swans chased off this cygnet.

Yes I know they are not unusual but I think gulls especially adults or the smaller species are quite attractive. It is just that with so many plumage changes unless you are a gull fanatic they can be difficult.
Only the strongest are able to hold on to their posts
