9th July

A bird of prey day.

Bushy Park

Is this the first urban reared buzzard in London. I know of birds that breed just north of Stanmore but that is on the edge of the countryside.

Regent’s Park

I popped in this afternoon and saw at least 3 juvs and both adults. The juvs commuted between St Johns Lodge and the trees close to their nest box, sometime going on to the nearby island.

As I say the Buzzards that you have seen by the A41 near Elstree are really countryside birds.
