27th February

Bushy Park

Gadwall: a pair on the Scrape and 5 on Heron Pond.

Common Snipe: one on the Scrape again, visible from the view point on Dukes Head Passage.

Stonechat: a pair by the Scrape, occasionally they pop over the fence and into the park by the Round Plantation.

Bullfinch: it is a shame they are so scarce within the London area, 2 females were feeding in the scrub area between the river and the park just north of Dukes Head Passage.

Kensington Gardens

Scaup: still present on the Serpentine.

Cetti’s Warbler: the male is still present in Scrub on the western bank by Serpentine Bridge.

Richmond Park

Woodcock: 2 birds were in Pen Ponds Plantation.

I felt lost without it. I am looking forward to using it in Norfolk.
