Bushy Park

I witnessed something unusual by one of the pools in the Brewhouse Meadow area. A female? Reed Warbler was feeding 2 juvenile Sedge Warblers. She would fly in with food and the juvs would drop down to the base of the reeds to take it. this meant I could capture it on the camera. Then about 50 metres away a pair of Sedge Warblers were feeding at least 2 other juveniles.

Nearby: C. Buzzard(3), Meadow Pipit(2), Cetti’s Warbler(3), Reed Warbler(11), C Whitethroat(12), Chiffchaff(6), Goldfinch(100+), Reed Bunting(4).

Comments

Is it possible the reed warbler lost her young and has kidnapped the sedge warblers?
The mothering drive over riding the fact they are not hers.
Great photos as always
