Regent’s Park

Yellow-legged Gull: an adult was present on the lake at 6.45am.

Kingfisher: 1 still present on the lake, favouring the south-eastern side of area 8.

Lesser Whitethroat: 3 birds in area 39.

Common Whitethroat: 4 birds, 2 in the brambles and gorse by area 34 and 2 in area 39.

Reed Warbler: 2 recently fledged birds are present in area 2 and 32.

Willow Warbler: at least 14 birds present mainly around areas 30, 31 and 32.

Spotted Flycatcher: one in area 39.

Richmond Park

Common Teal: 4 birds may have taken off from the reed bed area of Upper Pen Ponds.

Shoveler: one was with the Teal.

Little Egret: a juvenile feeding along the shore of Upper Pen Pond at 6.45am.

Water Rail: 3 birds were calling at 6.30am.

Common Tern: one was patrolling Pen Ponds looking for food.

Kingfisher: 2 birds were moving around Pen Ponds.
