Tree Pipit: one just north of Heron Pond at 7.45am.
Meadow Pipit. 2 in the Skylark Zone.
Whinchat: one quite mobile south of Upper Lodge Road car park due to public pressure.
Cetti’s Warbler: 2 males singing by the Longford River just north of Dukes Head Passage.
Common Whitethroat: 2 birds in Bracken south of Upper Lodge Road.
Chiffchaff: 8 birds near Hawthorn Cottage.
Siskin: 4 flew west.
Reed Bunting: 8 birds present.
Common Redstart: 2 males in the Old Golf & Tennis School Enclosure, area 39.
Common Whitethroat: 2 in area 39.
Blackcap: 6 present.
Siskin: 6 flew north over area 39.
My first 2 brief views were short and I didn’t realise there were 2 present. I was just grateful that both birds showed well for me.
