Regent's Park 12th to 16th July

A pictorial of Regent's Park over the last 4 days

Life with the Kestrel's in the Wetland Pen (area 32) seems moving along without to many problems. The only thing that concerns us is the lack of small mammals that the parents bring in. That said we are not there every minute of the day, so there might be a time when rodents are more easy to catch.

Lesser Whitethroat in the Chat Enclosure (area 39) 15th.

Blackcap

Chiffchaff

Wren

Long-tailed Tit

Mum was hiding around the corner while junior is hassled by a Jay.

He then moves to join mum but she is having none of it.

A short flight around the area makes him a target for the Magpies, his landing still needs improving.

Dad isn't often on the scene, preferring to keep out of sight.

Mum returns with a small package, it looks like it came from the butchers as it has been skinned and de-boned. I haven't a clue what it was, but it did have some fat left attached.
