Still only a trickle of migrants passing through

A slow week in Regent's Park

Nothing out of the ordinary just a few common migrants in favourable areas. We have seen or heard the first Yellow and Grey Wagtails passing high overhead, there are still the odd Swift and  a handful of of Swallows have already headed south.

No not a Desert Wheatear but the first 2 Northern Wheatears of the autumn(summer).

If you keep your eye's open especially early mornings in the park there is still the chance of a late
   Swift.

A Spotted Flycatcher has been in the area of the Chat Enclosure all week.

Willow Warbler numbers have been disappointing and it could be that we have missed their main
   migration.

The Little Grebes have lost one of their chicks.
