Kingfisher: A female was present in area 1 this afternoon.
Ring-necked Parakeet: 2 were feeding on the peanut feeder in area 29.
Black-headed Gull: Numbers have increased to around 300 birds. From now on it is worth checking them for our almost annual Mediterranean Gull, before they depart by mid March.

2 G S Woodpecker Areas 24+25.
1 Long Tailed Tit at feeder Area 29 - no finches seen there at all for well over 30 minutes.
Tried the Mediterranean Gull Game with no joy!
2 Kestrels in nest box at E end of Area 25.
Long Tailed Tits in small flocks - 1-4 - in Areas 30, 26, 24, 20.
1 Siskin flitting between Areas 25/26 and 24.
1 Green Woodpecker Area 27.
2 Gt Spotted Woodpecker flitting between Areas 24 and 26.
1 Little Owl just N of original sighting area. Quite active while roosting.
And also Tony, what are your plans for the wetland area? I assume more reedebeds..?
