20 Mar: Similar weather to last two days (fair, with light W breeze but no ground frost like yesterday) so any new migrants aren't dropping in to sight-see.

Little Owl (my first!) seen just before daybreak at 05.50, silently half-gliding on wingtips like a grey-brown ghost from area 32, landing on top of middle, sawn-off ash just SE of cricket pen (area 31).

Coal Tit singing in tall cedar just in from E gate of Queen Mary's Gardens, area 16; Goldcrest still singing from hillside yew near pond.

Chiffchaffs in areas 1 (Winfield House garden), 2, 14, 31 and 40; Blackcap in area 2.
